Well, my friends and I might be planning to enter in Street A with my Golf hatch. We will probably have 4kwrms @ 1ohm, more at less possible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Street A allows one amp (or two strapped monoblocks). It also allows for two 10s which has more theoretical surface area than one 12 - not saying that's all that matters, but....

We'd probably be working off of the Wicked One at first, but probably a toxic design eventually.

So what's some good recomendations for subs for our application?

I know SX, Type-R, MT, but what else is out there?

DD 9510s are one of the best street 10s. And ur gonna want a hell of lot more power

Starting, that's all we may have. What would you say for 10s? Double that? I figured we could make some cash locally by doing street runs until we earn cash for equipment. Juggernauts arent avaliable in 10" size either...

I would go for a pair of MT's, ~3000w per sub and call it a day.

What are the price points on a lot of these? I don't know if we can afford two $350 (each) woofers right off the bat + an amp, etc. A lot of these I haven't found used - rough search.

Shame there aren't low power classes. Then we might be able to use the 35.1 we have...

used aq 12" on carsound.com i think it was a dual 2ohm

Can a single 12 really keep up with a pair of 10s in street a? surface area is is a positive for the two 10s, again not saying that's all that matters.

Our 4-5kw amp fell through and I was given an offer I can't afford, not for many years. I've found another that's at a really good price, 2kw@.5, stable at .25 for burps. Maybe I can find something that'll get it down that low(call re, quad 1 mt 12 or two dual-1 mt 10s maybe?) or find another and strap 'em.
