Im sorry to hear about all of this.. My dad is a state trooper and was reading this thread. He wants to know if you were in a drug related area when you were spotted and pulled over.

no i was pulled over on the very edge of the city i mean if i went probably 100yds i was out of city limits and it was by a mall in a middle class area of the city... i was just unlucky i think... the guy above is acting like i killed someone and im a habitual criminal i got caught with paraphernalia ....not drugs or a gun or anything crazy... first thing my grandfather asked me was why i let them search my car and i told him i didnt so im hoping he can help me out...

Any officer can search your car without your consent if you were seen leaving a drug related area, if there is an odor of a drug or if you have baggies everywhere in your car. Now if they have spotted a pipe they can rip through your car to find the drug. They had every right to search you and your car. Probable cause was the indication that there might be drugs in your car.

ok thats good to know what about the miranda rights..is that no longer a law that you have to be read them? I know your from a different state but what type of punishment would i typically be lookin at for paraphernalia? i dont have any other arrests or charges before so this is my first charge besides maybe a speeding ticket or two.

He was caught with drug paraphernalia which means a pipe, residue for marijuana, roaches etc they must have seen that which indeed does give them the right to search without your consent

They never read you your miranda rights?? And in this state it will just be a hefty fine but if you were on probation you might face some jail time.

no way they could have seen it, it was in my glove box they looked in there and found it..it wasnt laying out where they could see it ...they went into my glove box without permission and found it.

he now just made it a "drug area" being caught there with para, true area's are known to be " troublesome" but for some reason that op does not know why, he did get pulled over something about him/ and or his car/ or like he said where he was coming from made the cop want to pull him over, and if he was not riding dirty we would not be having this wonderful thread to post in

That's not relevant. Plus having a bowl doesn't make it a drug area. Most drug areas are places that white people don't go unless they are buying drugs. They found that in the search. They needed a reason to search.

missing work is a big deal no matter if i own my own business or not i still lost money for not only myself but others that work with me and for me by not being able to produce and get something done that day. my responses are defensive because your coming at me like an uppity jackass... your driving a car thats illegal in your above posts you stated and talking shit to me about being pulled over in a 100% perfectly legal car for no real reason other than he wanted to fuck with me.. either way i hate people like you quick to judge and act like im a criminal for getting arrested one time in my 27 years makes me a menace to society im sure..you want to act like your somehow better than me by judging me over the computer so i will do the same.. your probably unemployed, living in your parents basement, and obviously have a terrible personality so no friends and/or girlfriend... and i am sure the reason you have no friends is who would ever want someone that would most likely turn them in for anything that might be bad...i like being able to judge people and be an uppity ******* over the internet i see why you do it now..
