Speeaker distortion and sound level problems

The right side of my components seem to be distorting.. I've been out of the audio game for a while so i dont know what could cause this. i dont think they are blown, but for some reason that side distorts... and also... when i play the radio, it sounds great, but when i play a cd the sound level changes. both of them are setup the same way using the internal EQ on the HU and my EQ. why would the radio sound better than the cd's i play? it gets more bass, the highs arent harsh... but when a cd is in i lose the bass, it sounds harsh, the tonality is all messed up

Your HU maybe a little dusty...have you tried getting it cleaned? The lens maybe dirty or have dust on it, I'm guessing since you've been out of the car audio game for a while...all the best
