Specs to look for in cables?

I did a little more searching and found these from stinger...http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISHR420

Ok, so they are blue....lets get past that, are they quality?

I like that all 4 channels are neat in one cord till the end and the price is right.
Yes those are fine.

in most wires, yes. but, there are wires where you will be able to hear a difference. i didnt used to believe it, but wire can make an audible difference.
The only time I've ever heard cables making a difference is in very limited and specific situations where you need a certain capacitance value - such as driving longer interconnects after a passive preamp. Then, you have to make sure the cables "work" with the rest of the system to prevent high frequency rolloff.

But in car audio, where people have source units or line drivers, I don't see how cables with similar RLC params can vary in SQ.

You can prove it in a double blind test? Really? Go collect your money from Richard Clark.
Now if you are talking difference between 16AWG wire and 30AWG over 30ft or so, sure, the difference is clearly measurable between those. But if you are talking about hearing a difference that have no readily measurable difference in the resistance, impedance or capacitance, you're smoking something good and you're likely seeing the difference.
why yes i can prove it in a double blind test //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and no im not talking about different sizes of wire or any difference between the wires. straight up 12g to 12g wire. and no, im not on drugs, its an actual CLEARLY detectable difference.

here, you can read some informative posts by other people who have been proven wrong about this subject //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

?

The SSA wire ring was not a true ABX test, one user had it switched without his knowledge, but it wasn't done quickly...and that certainly didn't meet any of the criteria of double blind testing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sweet, thanks for the help guys!

To sum up what im doing im going to be buying a Lexus IS300 soon. Im going to run Focal 165V1's in the front doors off a PPI 600/4 that will sit in the trunk and everything will report to an Elcipse CD8445 (that arrived two days ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

I think im going to get that 20ft

The IS300 is just over 14ft long so im going to over esimate and say 20 ft for each door and 10ft for each of the rear stage speakers. So would everyone agree that 60 ft of the 14awg wire should be enough?

ps: sounddomain.com free shipping FTW!

ive done double blinds with it, as have others that i witnessed. all were able to distinguish between the wires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and also, the link to the thread was to show that others have indeed been able to find an audible difference between wire. not so much a list of people that have done double blinds

I realize that - but frankly, unless it was done under controlled ABX circumstances, I'm not inclined to believe it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

FWIW.
