It says at 2 ohms it has 550 Watts x1 and 4ohms it has 300 watts. thats rms right? My subs say they have 160 rms each and are 600 watts max power each. My amp is 1100 watts max each. Shouldn't the subs be powered nicely if I have both connected. I beeen trying to understand this, do I need dual voice coils with 2 subs to get 2 ohms? because I checked out this site, it says I can only get 8 ohms or 4 ohms with my subs, is that true? because if so then I can't get a nice boost from both. Kinda sucks..

I'm guessing when you say subs you meant 2.

but how come the sound of the subs goes down dramatically when I hook em both up, the push seesm to double if not triple if I disconnect one..

with monoblock amps...if u have 1 sub connected..its total rms / x number of subs

so if its 500 rms with 1 sub connected..u get 500 watts. if u put 2 subs on..u get 250 each
