speaker sizes

i'm about to buy a 95 plymouth neon but i need to change the mains out. i want to put MTX mains in as the replacements, the only problem is size. i can switch the 6x9s in the rear but the fronts are 6 3/4s and i can only find 6.5s in MTX. would the 6.5s be able to fit in the 6 3/4s hole? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

well dude, you have been mistaken, i did some research and the fronts in your car are actually 6.5s, so yes, the 6.5s you wanted will fit

Mc, they are oversize 6 1/2" which is 6 3/4".

Josh crutchfied and/or http://installationproducts.com should have an adapter to fit 6 1/2s.

but mike, i searched that car up on a fitguide and it said 6.5's so wouldn't the car have the adapter built right in? your probably right but it seems to make sense to me..

My wife car is a 95 neon..and is listed for 6 3/4..It better damn well be 6 3/4 I already bought the adapter plates.

BTW the bottom of the page gives you the breakdown on what the P and EZ codes mean next to the speakers. No biggie Mc If I don't need them I suppose I can sell them to my friend he is looking for a set of plates anyway.

my mom has a neon, i put 6.5" Power Acoustiks in the front and 6x9 kenwoods in the back. so the fronts are 6.5
