it is a 2200 rms amp that has 4 gauge inputs? no way in hell im putting 4 gauge in there if it draws 200 amps. should i run 1/0 with a 1/0 to 4 awg reducer?

haha i have tried that. the inputs are too close together and they will touch.

if you are running an ex. battery, you can put the amp very close to the batt. and run 4 gauge straight off the batt. to the amp. a very short run of 4 gauge will handle it quite well. it is when you run it 20 ft, that you will run into problems .
