A buddy of mine let me use one of his amps, he either wants me to buy it off of him or to sell it on ebay or something. Just wondering what you guys think of it. I havnet used it yet. Its a Soundstream Reference 700SX. Its in pretty good condintion so i wouldnt mind keeping it. What would be a good price to pay him?

Thanks,

Andy

If it does indeed work and good cosmeticly (7/10 at least), I'd say $150-200 (conservative). Now I have seen this amp go on ebay and sell for more, but that depends on how bad he wants it or stupid the buyer is.

I tested it out today, and it does work. Do you think its worth me keeping? Im starting from scratch again all my stuff got jacked so im on a blank slate. Also what do you think a good sub would be to go along. I have a reg cab ram, so there isnt much room. Ive been looking at Type R's and some jl's. I want a loud but quality bass.

I going to say yes if the amp will fit your bill. That and I'm also bias for SoundStream //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. What year is your ram? There should be enough of room for an 10 or 12, here are two RF HX2 15's in the back of a '05 reg cab.

Guess it all depends on how much space you are willing to lose. JL, Apline, Infinity Perfect, RE.....so many to choose from for subs.

My ram is a 96. I had a setup like that but wasnt a huge fan because it took up so much room. I wanted to see if i could somehow fit a band pass or an isobaric. Either is probably to big So i might just end up going with a single 12 in a small sealed box.

Dude, keep that shit. High quality equipment right there. Used to have a 700s and loved it. Gave it to my bro a few years ago. Atleast it's still in the family //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Xeleventybillion.

I had a 700sx back in the day and it is still my all time favorite amp, and I've owned/tested/auditioned MANY amps in my day. I remember CA&E mag used to use that amp as their reference testing amp in the mid to late ninetees. They said this amp would do 900+Wrms easy. Quality stuff man.
