soundstream xxx 15s or 9515s

i'm running two 9515 with a 2500d at 1 ohm on each now. i saw the xxx's years ago on another sight and the specs were amazing. however, no one ever talks about them and no one that i've talked to knows anything about them. so my question is would 2 xxx 15s be an upgrade, downgrade, or about the same as to what i currently have now?...i REALLY want four 9515s in a wall but don't know where anymore are right now at a decent price?

9515's are expensive...I couldn't tell you.

sorry but how could you possibly know that the soundstreams wouldnt work better with his setup?

nevermind. i was think'n of the splx's the xxx's are ok. but its going to take a crap load of power to even get one move'n. i say stick with the dd's.

x2 its going to take alot more then a 2500d to get those wangin. If you got the cash flow i say do it. If you dont then stick with the DDs

you're gonna need buttloads of power to get either really wangin'. Bassmekanik has seen both XXX's and 9515's. the XXX's were WAY underpowered too.

the old DD power rule was: less than 2kw-get a 35, more than 2kw-get a 95. If he's really getting to 2kw to the subs, he's at the low end for 95's.

ive got each amp at 1 omh ... and would do each at 0.5 on the xxx (havent checked the VC on the xx's just saying what i would hope to do) but i MIGHT get 2 visonik 4000s that are forsale it's just i'm trying to decide what i want to do with my money. and i know 9515s arent cheap but i got mine for 600 shipped so im looking for some used ones in that ballpark area...i dont know if this is against the forum rules but i'll try anyway what are some other caraudio websites with a good classified section b/c im just trying to keep my eyes open for 9515s or maybe even something else?

The DD 9515 are still cheaper that the Soundstream brand new. Isnt the XXX a TC based sub?

yea it looks like a 4hp motor (the motor on that xxx weighs 71.875lbs by ITSELF!! thats about 10 lbs more than a old quad stack dd9918 motor
