soundstream van gogh amplifiers vs Orion or Elemental Designs

I need 2 amplifiers (components and subwoofer)

I was considering the Orion 1200D or Nine.1 and 8002 or Nine.2x

but recently...I havent been able to snag any of those at low prices

I'd like to spend less than 200 on the comp amp and ~250 on the subwoofer amp

How does Soundstreams Van Gogh or Picasso line compare to the Orion and eD amps I mentioned?

Im still curious about those Van Gogh line of amplifiers, how nice are they compared to Orion and eD?

The Van Gogh's are actually a pretty good line of amps. I'd put them up against Orion or eD, easily.

Hiphonics BX series is very comparable to th eD NINe.1...i have had a NINe.1, needed more power without increased cost, picked up a BX1605D for $270, sounds great and havent had any problems...

i hated my bx605, i would take the orion on ed over HF anyday, especially since my orion 600d didnt over heat aftet like 5min of palying test tones like my bx605 did

The Van Gogh's are actually a pretty good line of amps. I'd put them up against Orion or eD, easily.

x2 on the Van gogh good amps I'm trying to get ahold of a few my self.

from the impressions so far...im assuming theyre about equal (Van Gogh and Orion/eD)

What Van Gogh amp does at least 1000w. It would be powering either a IDMax 12V3 or Diamond Audio D9 15, havent decided on which subwoofer to use (D9 would be about ~$50 cheaper) so comment on which sub also.

I would honestly take a Van Gogh over an eD.

VGA 1600.2 is rated at 1600w RMS x 1 @ 4ohm bridged.

The VGA 800.2 is rated 800w RMS x 1 @ 4ohm bridged.

Im looking at the 800.2 right now, found a good price

What subwoofer would you recommend with it? (D9 15 or IDMax v3 12)

already have both subs, I guess the question now is which has better resale value? Im going to be selling the other subwoofer. I got the D9 for about $30-40 cheaper and since its 2" bigger it should be a bit louder with the same power theoretically shouldnt it?

Which has better SQ and more low-end? What are both of these subs worth on forums/ebay brand new?
