Soundstream compared to Hifonics

I previously had a BX1000d and know that they dont put out the acual power its rated at but how does it compare to the PCA1000d? Do Soundstream amps put out their acual rms rating (CEA)...are they an overall better quality amp? Also, I have to say that the BX1000d put a hell of a strain on my electrical system (60amp alt. in my previous car now have a 90amp alt. in a new car) and want to know is the PCA1000d more or less of a current hog compared to the BX1000d. i really didnt have any overheating problems with mine, it was acually decent...it just sucked alot of juice outta my electrical system. Can anyone say that the PCA1000d is hands down a better quality amp??? Also, are they more or less of a current hog compared to BX1000d? THANKS

im really not deciding between the two just want to get some specifics comparing the two. Im sure everyone would choose the SS over the Hifonics.

as for the older stuff, the SS amps i owned were a lot better than the older hifonics, however the older hifonics stuff was also very excellent...as for the new stuff i have no idea, my hifonics xx is less than a year old and ran 2 pg elites at 1600 watts and it held up great, no overheating troubles at all... but each amp is its own story...people around here are saying that the newer hf stuff is basura so...

i remember back when i was first gettin in car stereo,back around 87,hifonics was bad ***,of course thier wasn't a big choice back then like now,i can think of orion,ppi,lanzar,alpine and such,i bought a hifonics boltar and 2 12'' petra cardiacs,it was awesome,ive seen over the years hifonics went to maxxsonnics,i have now the xx collossus,and it is powerful as hell,but in all honesty i think the old colossus would beat it hands down,the old long gray collossus or white and black one,it seems today amps dont have the same power as old school to me.but back on topic,i liked hifonics back then and still do,as far as soundstream,the same story applies except i heard power acoustic were building thier amps now.

Soundstream sucks ***, overrated by 100 watts...only there low quality line ones but have amazing cooling cuz i used to own one and didn't know i was clippin the shit out of it till i found out it's actual power by takin it to the shop sicne then i've only boughten amps that will do they're rated power like RF which i have now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

nope, if that is class D then i think it would put out it's rated power and be really efficient then
