Ok, here's the deal. I'm looking at the RL-p line and just wanted some opinions. I've owned Infinity Perfects, JL Audio w3's, Kicker L7's, RE SE'S, Pheonix Gold Ti's and Magnums. I hate to downgrade when I buy a new product, so I'm looking for something that will be better than all the subs listed above without spending over $250 for each sub. I heard the RL-p has good SQ, but as far as spl goes, how does it compare to other woofers? My main concern is, how will it compare to a magnum.

While I don't like comparisons, I believe our driver to be very comparable to the Magnums, and for most applications equal or better than all the rest of the woofers you mentioned. I don't personally use any SPL-type applications so I'm not the best to comment in this respect, but I know our Premium series drivers are capable of some crazy loudness when thrown a couple thousand watts

Are you planning on using this for regular listening or as a competition driver? For regular listening, it will definitely make you happy. For competition, I think it can hold its own against most of the big names out there no problem, but realize I don't speak from experience in the SPL circuit as I don't really dig listenin' to test tones.
