Heres the details

* Cost of driver must be paid prior to manufacturing (shipping will be paid seperately after drivers are ready)

* All buyers must be willing to wait up to 6 weeks for their product (though given normal circumstance, it would probably not take more than 4 weeks)

* Someone else would need to coordinate the gathering of interested parties such that all involved payments could be received within a span of 14 days. I will handle all collection and shipping.. I want to make sure that this can be done in a timely fashion when it is ready to move to the production phase.

If these conditions can be met:

The price on the RL-p12 D2 will be $199 + shipping

If you guys are interested r have any questions check out the official thread here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2739 and contact squeak

They have over 15 people interested but only have 6 confirmed drivers at this point. Regular price on the rl-p 12 is 235 so you are aving $35 not to mention this could be the last time for a while that you can get your hands on an rl-p d2.

EDIT: This is only for the rl-p 12 d2.

ok, 1 final question before i really make up my mind. Right now i'm running the 600.1 with 2 audiobahn 1200x subs in a 1.25^3 sealed box(dumb me, I want to make a custom box and port it). How would this compare to that in SPL? I know it will kill it in SQ but how much SPL would i lose? Those subs were about 100 a piece back then, this is double...should i do it??

mmm..

I may be interested.. if I can get the autographed cones..

is 1200rms too much for one? Anybody (other than mrray13) compared it to a XXX or Brahma?
1200 watts is at the upper limits for these drivers. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, because they don't need that much.. but if you are a responsible user and don't keep everything cranked full tilt for hours on end, 1200 watts is certainly doable.

If you want to hear some hype about what other customers / listeners have had to say:

"I got them in a all I can say is Wow. The sq is amazing and they get louder than my treo csx did off of the same power. I put in Late Nite Tip and the subs hit the lows beautifuly and they were soooo clean. Next I put in some Simple Plan and it never missed a beat."
"Bottom line the best subs I have ever owned. I had a Re XXX and to be honest these sound better to me than that ever did."

"so, with that said....i believe the rl-p will hold it's own against ANY sub with 1kwrms of power , ported or sealed. and i've ran it directly against an re xxx(same boxes, same power, same vehicles) and prefer it to any other sub i've ever owned for sql."

"I went with the rl-p over the XXX and have ZERO regrets. One of the best subs I'v ever heard without a doubt and I have heard many w7's, a brahma, a xxx, etc. I'd always heard the XXX will be louder and supposedly xbl^2 will make it sound better. However, both of these claims have yet to be proven to me. The sq of the brahma I heard which was in a low tuned ported box smilar to mine was great and definitely top notch, but so is the sq of the rl-p. They were both pretty **** good and I couldnt tell you which sounded better.
As for spl, yeah, it depends on the install, but my rl-p in a box tuned to 28 hz off of less than 1kw was able to beat a XXX in a laaaaaarge box tuned to 35 hz off of double the power I had! So even assuming my car (jeep) is better than the truck the xxx was in he still *should* have had me. His higher tuning should give him a better peak good for at least a dB and him running double the power should have given him a couple dB's as well. Yet somehow I managed to outdo him. Maybe the XXX does have greater potential but the rl-p can definitely keep up and sound awesome doing it. All this for almost half the price too.
In case you didnt guess my vote goes to the rl-p!"

"their SQ is amazing. they are incredibly tight. i was listening to some stuff tonite with alot of really fast double bass...and in a couple of songs i could here him kicking the drum more extra? with all my other subs it'd be a ttthhhuuummmppp..but now its (very fast)thump,thump,thump...kinda hard to explain but simply amazing SQ drivers...and freaking loud! i swear i was getting kicked in the back of the chest!"

"I'd say they're definitely worth the money. You get a lot of displacement per dollar, good motor strength, fairly low Fs, and decent powerhandling.

They're pretty **** cheap for what you get, honestly."

"Excellent subs at an excellent value."

... now about power. An RL-p12 would perform capably with anywhere from 350-900 watts in almost any enclosure. Of course, if you want to use more than 750 watts, I strongly encourage you to contact me prior to building your enclosure so that I can tell you if your enclosure is safe to use with so much power... afterall, fried voicecoils are NOT covered under warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Oh, and I'll scribble whatever you want me to on your woofer if you give me permission
