Well your just never know what you will find around here. I completed my system project a little over a month ago, after a long road of piece by piece building. Being a sq guy I have spend alot of time tweeking as I went along listening for the right sound. I though I had it about were I wanted it and then along comes some advise I saw on a thred yesterday. I figured I would give it a whirl . I hit the jackpot!! Just a few minor crossover adjustments and my front stage erupted. My kappa's have never sounded better with just the right amount of mid bass from them and my dash alpines. It absolutley screams! With all the time I have put into tweeking I can't believe I didn't find that sooner. My system has never sounded better. I am so happy with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It just goes to show you that if you have good equipment and don't quite like the way it sounds don't just chuck it in and try to upgrade. Spend the time it takes to tweek it and stay with the people in here with the knowledge to help you along. You could be amazed at the results. Thank you everybody!!

Good advice, I had a similar Eureka moment recently. I have a lot of new components i am trying to make work together. Well I sealed off my front speaker pods today, and lowered my amps gains a bit, actually less that they "should" be. Boom! Instant difference! Sounds a lot better now and a lot louder. Never stop trying new stuff!

Exactly, its like everything just jells togeather now. Hopefully I will just leave it alone lol. Yeah, its seems like lowering your gains a tad is not a bad thing at all. Alot of people seem to think that blasting the gains is " The Answer". For me that hasn't been the case.

I believe he mentioned the crossovers on his "dash alpines". Kinda vague but you get the idea.
Yes, vague....no, I don't get the idea.

I'm assuming he either played with the tweeter attenuation on his passives or changed the x-over point and/or slope on his HU. I was just curious what he did exactly that made such a dramatic difference....and where he got the tip.
