Sound quality opinions

Just curious to see what people are into for high end sound quality products. What people think about:

Alpine, JL Audio, Kenwood vs brands like Rainbow, DLS, Dynaudio, etc...

Same for subs. RE, Alumapro, Dynaudio vs brands like JL, Rockford, Sony, MTX

Just curious if people can hear the SQ difference among those speakers or appreciate the difference enough to save a little extra for the purchase.

most of a good SQ system is how and where the drivers are installed and the tuning (crossover points, time alignment, EQ, etc ...). You might want to listen to a real SQ system or 2, there is a BIG difference in what sounds goos and what is accurate.

The difference in the accuracy of transducer A vs transducer B, when installed correctly, can be HUGE.

The only downside to SQ in a vehicle is the fact that a mobile vehicle is far from ideal with regards to being the perfect listening environment. Don't get me wrong, I have seen some great installs in my lifetime that sounded awesome. But the fact of the matter is that I have also seen home recording studios that were built for sound and I have yet to find a way to replicate that in a motor vehicle.
