I know Sony has let us down in the past in the genre of car audio but these look at least cooler than the last bunch. Anyone know how they sound?

Still not worth it.

Sony seriously needs to bring back the Mobile ES line. Make the ES line fantastic, like back in the day. And either drop the Xplod line all together, or leave it alone.

Sony seriously needs to bring back the Mobile ES line. Make the ES line fantastic, like back in the day. And either drop the Xplod line all together, or leave it alone.

yep, yep!! though don't forget that sony actually made mobile es xplod as well...these weren't quite as good as the older es..but were WAY better then the regular xlpod...

except for the subs..the old red rounds out hit and sounded better then sony's es alums(the silver ones)..which really ain't sayin a whole lot..hehe

Nothing wrong with Jenson for beginers. Sony is capable of making very good equipment, as stated earlier. Don't dismiss them as junk.

i started with jensen and had them in my car up untill last weekend. the only reason i say that they are basically junk is that we all know that they are more then capable of making better, not nesserily more $$$$ things, but better things. A company that can make real nice stuff, but decides to make low end equip for people who only hear music and do not listen to it then it is junk. It is good for beginers but for not a whole lot more money you can buy a lot better sounding stuff

the older es line i still would put up against anything today and people would still call the sony stuff "state of the art" i still havent seen anything deck and processor wise go as high in signal to noise as of yet!

my friend at school thinks his 2 sony xplod 10's are the best thing out, i said to him sony is crap, and he said that its sony sony is very popular, but i said they still **** tho, i told him to come listen to my 3 15 inch k's as soon as i get them, boy he is gonna be amazed of how big of pieces of s*** the sonys are compared to mine, did i mention he said he's got a jensen reciever with a mega 760 watt sony amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

i could have guessed they where no good when has xplod ever done anything for anyone?

i dont even know why i got this beasty a$# deck i dont even like it.

only reason i got it is because i got such a good deal but im actualy savin for an alpine.

im glad this is the last year for xplod no more look at me im the coolest pumpin my xplod system to the max with my windows rolled down (which isnt loud at all) or i got a wicked stereo ha pumpin it out the windows only reason you still got it is because its not worth stealin.

sony needs to introduce a line of car products similar to their VAIO computers! VAIOs are such a cool and great peice of computer technology.
