Sony XS-GTX120LW subwoofer cutout diameter

Anyone know the exact measurment for the hole I need to cut for the Sony XS-GTX120LW. The manual says 11& 1/8 inches. I cut a whole this size and it was way to big and I could only get two screws in and the rest were going into the hole from it being the wrong size. All and any help would be appreciated!!

Use a piece of cardboard to make your template. OR, place your subwoofer on the surface and use a marking pen to circle it.
