I now have a Sony XMD9001GTR mono subwoofer amplifier. 1300W Max/900W RMS @2ohm. Currently for my 400W amp I have an 8ga. power cable running 17ft or so from the battery, i got the cable off a friend for free and i have no clue what it's current rating is, all it says on the cable is 8AWG 168 STRAND PRO-LINK™ MADE IN CANADA. do you think that this cable is sufficient to power my new amp? I do plan to run a 2ohm load so givin it is 900W RMS i will be pumpin through this cable.

Will it work? MAYYYYYYBE. Should you upgrade to 4 guage? HELL YES.
