Sony XAV W1 advice

Newbie here.

I'm in the market for a new in-dash video HU (preferably 7").

I've done a ton of homework, and I'm pretty much settled on the Sony XAV W1 (the Alpine IVA-W505 is way overpriced). I love almost everything I've read about it: gorgeous presentation, intuitive interface, customization, etc.

Ipod integration is essential since I will be using it a lot. This is where my concern for this HU lies.

Reviews say that the ipod adapters (both 110 and 120ip) only display one line of text when scrolling through artist, album, song, etc. This is a huge letdown as it will make ipod navigation ridiculously frustrating.

Is there any word that Sony Xplod is planning to release another adapter containing software that will allow multiple lines of ipod text? If not, is there any way around this? I really don't want that to be the sole reason why I would not buy this HU.
