sony preout not working?

can anyone help me,i have 2 bridged channels going into the back of my head units two preouts,one of which cut out as soon as i turned it up? i asked an electrition to check my subs and amp and they are all ok and all my wires are ok,have i broken my head unit and can it be fixed? cheers

chances are, you would be better off just buying a new HU.

iv jus broken the other preout sumhow it jus cut off,i tried anuther head unit and the amp didnt power the subs on that either so i must ava problem wiv my car cos thers nothing rong with my amp?

way to jack the thread. Go make your own and put down some info on the equipment your using and the car it's in.

iv got a 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels which go to the 2 preouts but there aint nothing happenin now but there did use to be what do you think has happend? the amplifier light is still on so the amp is on......

il give u some more information to go on....

my

remote turn on is ok,

battery wire ok,

ground wire ok,

all fuses ok,

all wires to subs ok,

rca's all connected up correctly,

when i touch the rca's onto the gold surrounding of the amp socket and my 6x9s jump and make a noise so does that mean my rca signal is getin to the head unit? i still cant get those subs working tho?

iv sorted the little problem out,i took my ground out and put it back in and i got one speaker working again.however i am still left with the original problem of only having one preout working,iv tested it and everyfin is ok but wen i plug it into this preout it doesnt work? ne ideas?
