I bought the Sony CDX-M630 from my G/F's sister a few years ago for the price of $80.She originally bought the HU for $280 I think when it first was released on to the market.
Now can anyone help me with the max unclipped volume on this HU?
The tutorials say to set your HU's volume to 3/4 max volume but as we all should know that there are HU's that begin to send a clipped signal as low as half volume.
Well 3/4's of the CDX-M630's MAXIMUM volume is 18.
The Sony HU's don't go from 0 (being the lowest/no volume) to 35 or 45,the Sony HU's actually go from --/70 (being the lowest volume) to 0 beign the maximum volume.
I am worried about actually setting my HU's volume to 18 and settiing the gains beuase I simply do not know if it is sending a clipped signal or not.
If it helps my HU has 2v pre-amp outputs.
