i have one... ive yet to hook it up, but the higher end sony headunits are kickass

it has all of the same features of any other mid/higher end headunit

time alignment, various xover's , HDEQ, DSO 3D, and lots of other stuff ... only thing really is you cant go active with it...

i dont plan on going active so thats fine with me..but i think im gonna get the 805 cause its motorized..but let me know how you like it when you put it in

so the only difference is the motorized face? and cosmetic features?

i just looked at both... i think the 705 looks sleeker than the 805 (705 is top picture)

yeah i think that is the only difference and the 705 does look better..i think that just changed my mind..lol

it looks alot smoother in person... in the picture, the part that goes around the screen where the flash is reflecting off of, it comes out and has a sort of metallic finish on it... looks very nice actually... atleast for a sony

Well I had one, lol. They arent a bad deck. It has a lot of tuning. Running in a flat mode it was a little harsh on the top end. But the Eq it had took care of it and it worked good. Has a ton of adjustments. Its not going to be a DRZ9255, Alpine 9835 or an Eclipse 8053. But for the price its a lot better then most in that price range. Just dont buy from a retailer.
