Hi;
I purchased a Sony CDX GT26 S/H from eBay as I needed a Head Unit with Aux In to replace my Pioneer DEH 1600R.
I am doing a test of the head unit and have wired it up to a couple of Pioneer 25 Amp Speakers to the front L/R from the head unit.
The ISO connector fitted to head unit was missing the second part of the 12v constant that connects via a bullet connector into the ISO connector so I had to rob one from the Pioneer.
At first I could not get any sound until I played around with the ISO connector and boom sound was heard. Whilst playing with the BAL it seemed that one channel / speaker was loud and clear whilst the other was not. I do not know if this is an issue with the head unit internal amp, the wiring at various points or the speaker?
What is the best way to check the following:
1. The internal amplifier.
2. The ISO connection at the point of entry to the Radio.
3. The two ISO connections from the head unit to the two separate ISO connectors.
4. The speakers.
If the unit is faulty as it was advertised as 'working order' I will seek a refund?
Any help would be great
