sony 404eqx fried?

I had my little sony hooked up to my re 5.25's and 6x9's and the amp powers fine and everything but as soon as i touch wires to the terminals on the amp the speakers just punch repeatedly. no sound the cone just moves up and down. anybody know what would be causing this?

lol, no cheap fix - unless you're an electronics wizard and can do board level diagnosis and repair. throw it away and buy something used that is not Sony.

haha i forgot to mention that the sony was free. i would never spend my own money on anything sony for my vehicle...just not a fan of the quality. and deffinatly not an electronics wizard so looks like its goin in the scrap pile...thanks guys
