first off, i know i know, there are just TOO many threads with song requests but i'm hoping this thread will put an end to them all by being regulated with the following "rules", if you will:

1) don't post a bunch of songs from a single artist (when i see that happen i don't bother with those songs because i just assume the poster is biased toward the artist) so please pick one great/classic song from that artist if you really want to "promote" them. or if the artist has a lot of great songs that are really worth downloading, at least wait a couple posts to post another song from that artist..

2) post songs you think EVERYONE can like, musically. don't post a song just because it's talking about a certain drug you like or because it's got a bass line that hurts your chest.. i know this is very subjective but if we get a thread going with great songs that everyone likes, i think the thread will live longer and be more "reputable". once, again don't post a song just because it "bumps" in your car.. music music music!!

3) think of this as keeping each other up to date with some good songs.. im at the point where i'm bored of all 30 gigs of my songs and would like to know what's good these days.. so keep that in mind for us people looking for some CDs to fill up with good music.

4) please post the genre of music you're recommending.. if you're posting multiple genres, it'd be nice to group them together for those of us only looking for one genre.

i'll start off with this track from an underground rap group called Zion I.. i've been listening to their stuff lately and they have a great hip=hop sound to them. they aren't mainstream "wanna-be thugs" they're all about hip hop. check out this song:

I will agree with you that Zion I is worth but hip hop is a culture. Rap songs are just that, rap songs. Rap is an art. Rap = poetry = art. Rap is not garbage. Hip hop is that father of rap? So The Sugar Hill Gang hip hopped on stage when they "rapped" the song "Rapper's Delight?" Amp Live and Zion rap on their records.
