I just got a bulb in mine also three weeks ago, I have a 52" DLP (about 2 years old) got my third bulb just installed. They all seem to go out between 3000-4000 hours.

the bulb just blew on my Mitsi DLP.......its under warranty but it'll be like a fuggin week before the new bulb will be here according to the hotline

i was told by tech support to really make sure that you keep the fan vents clean and free of dust...at least on ce every few days clean it off and they will last longer
