Originally posted by RangerMan Hahaha...in your day...the problem was that I drilled it in the same holes as the XXX was mounted in. Plus, I did not build the box, dreid did. I don't think that you want to say anything about his box building skills. I suggest you check your attitude and know the facts before you post something like this again.
Don't you think you should have mentioned your mistake (using the same holes instead of redrilling) in the first post rather than making it seem that this subwoofer was so big and bad that it destroyed a box all by itself? Maybe then I would have "known the facts".

I respect your knowledge and have no beef with you RM, and you know this. However, I think you're the one who needs to "check your attitude". I wasn't dissing you or anyone else. I simply stated that I'd never seen this happen before, that it shouldn't have happened, and suggested a few ways you could improve your box to keep this from happening again.

As for your comment "Hahaha...in your day..."; I think that's totally uncalled for. Why are you so eager to say I have no experience in car audio. You don't know me! All you've seen from me are a year's worth of posts in which I have been learning and trying to share the knowledge I've gained. Maybe I'm not on this forum posting 50 times a day, and I guess in your eyes that means I'm not an expert like you.........

If you are looking to flame someone, waste your effort on someone who cares. If this is the kind of attitude I'm going to get from you when I try to help, I'll simply refrain from replying to threads you start.

It makes not matter to me...I just don't like your attitude and frankly you come off as trying to be a smart ass. Even when using the same holes it is a rare event that it happened. Just stating I don't like your attitude. You want to talk to someone about box building and youy've built what, 2-3 boxes? Does that make you a pro? I had a pro build mine, and I'm sure he does not appreciate you criticizing his stuff...but you want to act like a smart ass...that's cool.

Again, I reiterate the fact that YOU DON'T KNOW ME! I've built more boxes in the past six months than I can even remember. I've gone thru six sheets of MDF in the past two weeks testing different port setups in my Talon (not to mention the three boxes I built for friends in the same time period!). I don't claim to be a pro, nor would I count myself in the same ranks as most of the people I know and compete against. However I'm better at it than the average joe and I have learned a few tricks over the past four and a half years.

I wouldn't have criticized your box had I known all the facts the first time around, and I'm sure whoever it was that designed your box would be more than open to constructive criticizm had he designed a box that blew apart because of HIS negligence and not yours. Again, I know I'm not a pro, but I have been desingning and building boxes for about a year and a half now, and I'm always open to suggestions as to how to make my creations better. It's called learning, and as Ramos so graciously puts it we're all "Still Learning". That's the entire point of coming to a forum!

I didn't intend to come off as a smart ass and if you're all hellfire-bent on twisting it around like that, that's your call. Like it or not, my attitude is and will continue to be a part of this forum. For further reference, I won't reply to your posts, and I'd suggest you stay out of mine. I don't appreciate YOUR attitude, nor do I appreciate your willingness to jump down someone's throat who simply offers you constructive criticizm. You're always the first one to ***** that this forum is going to ****, when in fact you are a part of the problem. Don't take yourself so seriously.....it leads to no good end.

GOOD DAY SIR!

Nor do I want to know you...But that's cool that an 18 year old wants to lecture me. If you want to be a prick fine. If you don't want my help, fine. I'll stay out of your post. Ya know, I think it kinda funny that you want to resort to such childish antics. If I wanted any criticizism, I would have ask for it. I would have said "Why dis my Brahma blow out of the Box?" But I did not. I just wanted to jump in with an interesting story. There was no offer of criticizism, and that is why, by replying in your manner, you came across as a smart ass. I really don't have any problem with you (even though I "don't know you") but if you don't want my help/input when you ASK FOR IT then I won't loose any sleep over it.

Good luck to you and your team in Comps this year.

Whoa back the truck up their bud...beep beep beep...alright....post count means nothing...but obviously your feeling a little down because you brought it up.

You're always the first one to ***** that this forum is going to ****, when in fact you are a part of the problem
Actually, you were the one that sparked this in the first place:rolleyes:

PS: I'm the same age as Loyd

I could go on and on...but, I dont really want to waste my time.

Excuse me, while I put on my hip weighters - the **** is getting pretty deep.

Hehe.. I was just browsing the forum after a good month or so absence. Seems that the whole "clicky" thing is still in good form. You're like a gang. You back each other up, and get in someone else's face, even if you're wrong (which I'm not saying you are). IT'S A FORUM. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Seriously, why do you take everything so SERIOUSLY. Ranger had a good thread starter, bravo. Lone had a good response, bravo as well. I'll be taking another month absence now.
