The port calculator told me 2" diameter 3" in lengh would gets me the tunning frequency I am looking 4's

the bigger port sounded better to me. it will be a bit longer though

a dude put 600 rms free air full tilt to one and it didnt flintch

nonono,

I jsut put a thin layer of silicone between making the connections of the wood, to ensure a good airtight seal.
