Some pawnshop... Treasures?

Today I went into a different pawnshop and found a pair of Morel 4" components. THey say another company on the speakers, but they seemed to also be by Morel... They are like nothing I've ever seen, the VC is like 3" for a 4" driver, and the tweets look modern as hell. They are probaby 5-10 years old. Good shape and complete.

THere are also a ghettofied pair of Rockford Audiophile series 6 1/4" middriver's midbass type speakers. They look to be old as well, beat up but in working condition.

Did I find something worthwile or did I find junk?

They said morel on the box... Underneath the name of another company. They want 80 for the set. They look like theyve never been installed.

THey want 60 for the Fosgates, but prob like 30 or so will get them.

So did I, except i didn't. I intend to put both of these things to use. The 4" comps will go in my sister's Toy Tercel, the Fosgates for my Caddy Eldo for Ghetto front fill, paired with some horns.

look on google for the audiophile scam. THEY ARE JUNK, look alike SH!T.

I know this because I too found some towers sitting at a pawn shop. I THINK the brand then was audiofile or audiopile or something like that, but yes, SERIOUSLY.

oh, you may have found something different. What I found was home tower speakers with all cool LOOKING drivers, kevlar, phase plugs, etc. Their brand was audiofile, I think. That is a known scam.

I have stumbled onto good deals on rare occasions. It was the brand name that reminded me of the scam. The big pawn shop near me has a 30 day return policy anyway.

The pawn shop I shop at does car audio ONLY because of me lol. I'll do some research, nobody seems to know about this stuff, cause it is OLD!
