If you listen to Metallica's And Justice for All album that whole thing bumps. But old school rock like what you would conside Hair Bands have great bass in them.

And bump for Black Sabbath. They have great bass.

Tom Petty has alot on his greatest hits CD,one of my fav demo CDs actually

AC/DC Back in Black has some rockin shit

Genesis,quite a few interesting ones,Los Endos live pumps pretty well low and mid bass,as does alot of thier live stuff

I also like George Thourogood & the destroyers

Bob Marley Legend has awsome reggee bass,as I am sure most reggee does

Entwhistle was teh awesomeness. I remember when he died a few years back...I played nothing but The Who that day.

If you want to hear something good, pick up a copy of "The Kids Are Alright" - it has a live cut of "My Generation" from the Smothers Brothers TV show in '64 or '65...John on that really twangy, loose-stringed bass...much different than the album copy. Very cool.
