Solobaric L7 question

They can handle a lot more power, sound a bit tighter, and supposedly have a higher peak output.

The old ones sounded a lot more sloppy (which gave them their reputation for bad sound) but also were a lot easier to get loud with a reasonable amount of power.

o ok cool becuz im gettin some old L7's (found some for very cheap in da classified) and wanted to know what was the difference. would a mtx 81000d be to much power for those old L7's there dual 4ohm

i forget if that mtx does its power at 1 ohm or 2 ohm. im pretty sure its 2 ohm since its almost identical to the mtx 1501d. if it does put out the power at 2 ohms you'll be fine so long as u set ur gains right and dont clip you amp.

edit: just saw ur mtx is modded for 1 ohm and u have 2 dual 4ohm subs. you're good to go man. just set that gain accordingly
