800 watts will push it, but not to its full potential thats for sure!

one guys sig sais 350w + solo x 18 = 150db, so will i be in the 150ish db range? of course depending on the box, would be in a 5.5cuf ported box w/ two 4"x12 3/4" ports

350Watts! No way! I dont think there is anyway possible to get 150db with only 350 watts. I would suggest over 2000 watts.

Yep. Buying a Solo X for daily use, especially low powered daily use, is just a waste of money. A regular L5 or L7 would be much more appropriate, and far less costly.

I once saw a guy with a 18 x in the back of a civic with 2 Kicker 1200.1's going to it and it felt like i was getting punched in the stomach. And i still dont think thats the full capiablity of that sub. And it was hardley moving the cone that is. So im sure it would be insane no matter what.

Wrong. He says he has an 18" re sx on 350. Look again...

Solo X RMS is 5,000.. I don't think 800x2 will make it move barely.... I've seen one w/ 4 kx 1200x1's on it.

im sure if you can afford a solo x 18, you can afford some good amps...or should i say 3+ amps.

go for the 10X" with that power...not near enough for the 18X...
