Got an IA Death Penalty comin in the mail //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif now I'm in the market for a monoblock. I'm buying the amp new. Either gonna get the crescendo bc2000 or sundown saz1500v3. Reason I'm comparing a 1.5k to a 2k is electrical upgrades I may need. I'd rather get the crescendo if I can support it at 1 ohm. Here's my electrical.

stock 140a alt

Stinger spv 70 under the hood

Big 3 in 1/0

I'm not changing my electrical so Givin that what would be the best amp choice? Also will be running an 85x4 as well.

Not cheaper (at least I don't think so) but an Mmats would be good if you're thinking efficiency. Hit up @mylows10. I think he's an Mmats dealer. Might be able to find a deal on one.

People think since you have a big stock alt you are good. It's bigger for a reason
^^This. Auto manufacturers aren't putting bigger alts in for no reason. You have more draw. I read somewhere that they try for no more than 15A headroom on smaller cars, and around 30A headroom on bigger trucks. Not sure how true this is, but it's probably pretty close to accurate.

Hmm well hopefully I can figure something out without investing in a bigger alt. That was basically the reason I bailed on my 4k setup.
