Soldiers Killed

Thanks for that assumption using the stereotypical view of my city. I do feel like defending this country, against the terrorists who perpetrated the horro of 9/11. The war against terror is one I support, but the war in Iraq is not. The occupation of a country which did not attack us is not something I don't wish to be a part of. I respect the armed forces and all who put their lives on the line for our country. All I'm saying is that this situation probably could have been avoided.

This is why I dislike political debate: Marinessgt probably thinks I'm a ****ing communist or something because I live in San Francisco. Because I shared my views, another person thinks I'm doing my best to destroy our country.

NO he jsut sounds like a few people that are in teh army and retired that i have talked to. They believe that every man should have to do at least 2 years of service, just like pretty much every other country. But that would go against the whole Freedom thing that the military has fought and is fighting for.

Well let me say one more thing and then i am done. If you look at history FDR invaded Europe to take it back from the Nazi's. Did the nazis invade the usa no they didnt. Truman invaded korea did any koreans attack america no. Kennedy attacked the Vietnamese did they invade the us no they didnt. Clinton was the driving force in the attack on yugoslavia did they invade the us no not them either. But look what Bush did he took 2 terrorist supporting governments out of power and also brought al-queda to a breaking point. Wow pretty good for a republican , bad for the democrats. I am not attacking your city i dont know if you are or not and really dont care if you are that is your choice and it is up to you . I also know that i defend him it doesnt bother me that people speak their mind so nobody should care when somebody who has been in combat does. Thank you for your time.

And I thank you for your time. I was only offended by the term "liberal capital of the world." I dislike that view of my city a lot and would have it rid of pinko com-symps as soon as the next man, but I recognize that the freedom that our country stands for that allows such a city to exist. I'm not arguing with you here, merely explaining what I think.

I wish more people would relize that. All they focus on is the WOD that we didn't find (I am pretty sure I could hide some weapons in area the size of a country) and the civilian/us troops deaths. What war doesn't have innocent deaths? And I thank God there are men who put their lives on the line to join the armed forces to protect people like me.

Iraq, after 9/11 President Bush said he would take down any terrorist nation or "Terrorist HARBORING Nation", that is exactly what Iraq is. Do you think Al-quaeda members entered into Iraq after the war was over. They've been there the whole time. Saddam Hussein was a dictator who tortured, killed, *****, etc. the millions of innocent people in his country. He needed to be taken out of power. I stand firmly behind President Bush and he will definitely get my vote come election time. I do believe there are weapons of mass destruction over there. I don't know where but I believe they have them or were designing them. Maybe they got them out of the country. But people look at weapons of mass destruction as missles, nuclear weapons, and other sorts of bombs. They don't necessarily have to be that. A Plane, carrying a couple of hundred people can be a weapon of mass destruction.

I am so happy that George Bush is our president right now.

I have to throw in my 2 cents in on this one. My best friend was killed about 4 months ago in iraq. He was a victim of a ******* bomber. Question...What nation has/had the biggest ground force army ever? I bet your gonna say america, soviet union, china. Wrong, Its iraq. You have to understand every person in that country was in the army. Also, you can ***** about Bush and about his problems but this country could easily be overtaken by terrorism. Imagine this, you meet a person in a religon that has tought them that to die a marter is one of the only ways into heaven. Not only that but you raised to hate all who isnt like you. They wont quit. Oh and NOBODY wins in war!!! You are taking life thats not winning. I believe what we are doing there is justified.

Oh and the weapons of mass destruction thing from above. At the begining of the war they found several hi-tec planes burried in the sand. Do you not think that a missle that is 1/3 the size could not be burried too?
