soldering iron

that thing is simply terrible, i bought one because i mod xboxes, just buy yourself a real soldering iron and dont touch the rod //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

lol, the funny thing about that is, this guy i work with just got one. He think its the next best thing to bread. He constantly braggs about it. But this is also the same guy who think two performance Technique 12s with 1000 watts total could spank dual 15in IA death penaltys with a mojo powering it.

depending on what you want to use it for, it's works good. we got one at my work to do quick on the fly minor repairs when time and no electrical outlets is factor. but for heavy jobs, stick with a traditional soldering iron.

if you are that concerned with having it wireless, get a butane one. basically its a blowtorch with a hollow tip soldering end, and the flame is inside it - kinda like a gast stovetop. but really small.

ive heard that they work good for LED's and such things, but not so well on the really heavy jobs like soldering realy thick wire and long jobs (batteries)

im thinking of getting one, but last i checked they were out of stock.

I can wholly recommend this butane soldering iron for soldering anything thinner than 10 guage connections.

http://www.action-electronics.com/weller.htm#Butane its all the way at the bottom of the page is self-igniting and is really small for how hot it is and how fast it heats up. Also its only $37.00

I think this is more reliable and a better size than any other soldering torch I have had (a wide range including BluePoint torches that cost over $100).

Check it out.
