driving while on the celly is illegal in cali now.

if im chilling with my friend and my buddy or gf or whoever is holding a cellphone up to my ear while i drive, does that qualify as "hands free" still?

i thought about doing that through a checkpoint last night, but i dont know if the cops would let me slide, or tell me its not funny and just give me a ticket

i wouldn't provoke teh pigs, theyll just find something else to bust you on. Cheapest thing to do is buy a new receiver that has built in bluetooth (pioneer makes a bunch)

i think right now as it stands, you cant drink or smoke at the beaches, you cant talk on your cellphone while driving, you cant smoke legalized medical marijuana, but you can marry your gay boyfriend/girlfriend

you can talk on your phone while driving, the phone just cannot be touching or near your ear. So speakerphone works if you have a decent speaker on your phone. Other than that gonna have to go with a hands free device.

They make things that will make your phone play through your car's speakers.

thats crazy they have the laws so screwed up and have the wierdest one be ok

speaker phone is not legal unless its mounted to the dash. if u are touching the phone at all its against the law. and texting is almost double the fine right now. at least here it is.

I just got me a hands free device. Works pretty well, but I do get some wierd looks, lol!
