so yea im rillin around yesterday and kinda watchin my wipers bounce alot more then other days ye well right under the reg. sticker it made a nice crack goin up about12 inchs ......

yea ima try and tape it breakin the rest of the way b4 i order one up so expect a vid in the next few days or so

It's possible but unlikely. Because of it's size, an Escort's windhsield would be pretty rigid, so if you could find it's resonance frequency, you could possible crack it.

Odds: 1 in 10000. This board has 20000 registered users, I would think 2 have confirmed physical damage to their vehicle from bass. Tottie is one.

here is the deal, you can crack your window from bass.

a system like yours will prolly vibrate your window like crazy... now, if your window- when installed at the factory, was not installed perfectly, it might have some extra tension on it. and it will crack when 'you hit its resonant frequency'. also - if a rock has hit your window, theres a deep scratch, or maybe a chip frmo somthing. that will also cause a weakspot.

Yes....nice and simply put.

A strong stock windshield will flex all day.....a weak injured one is the only ones that will crack under the pressure.

If this wasnt the case, then why aren't vehicles with like 160+ dbs cracking em left and right? (The ones that dont replace with plexi)

well believe what ya want tuned low enough will flex it enough .and i really did think it would have started on the pass side, seein i have a chip but its under the reg sticker on the drivers side bottom drivers side corner up about 12 inchs not a straight crack either kinda s like.... and to get an idea of how much it moves i can set my keys on the wipers and they fall under it
