<-- Yes, that's me.
Haven't looked at amplifiers or sound systems for quite a while, 2 years or so, wondered if anything's changed. Looking at getting a new amplifier and I'd like to know what brands are relatively solid for reasonable prices (IE, not alpine/kenwood).
Last time I was around, Hifonics was leading the pack for a cheap punch, Audioque was considered a good middle line, and Sundown Audio was one of the top brands.
I'm looking specifically at 4-channel amplifiers, but not any specific amp; just want some brands to check out. Cheap, specifically, whatever I can get. College + girlfriend isn't cheap, and I can't afford to spend much. Checking out Phoenix Gold atm.. I'll probably check out the flea market next week.
I'm open to used if people want to PM me offers. 50 watts RMS @ 4 ohms and a bridged rear channel option of 200w RMS with low/high pass filters is what I'm wanting, or more powerful. Under $100 ideally.
