So right now I'm running 2 15" xxx's off of a viper 2500. The box is 7 cubes tuned to 32hz. It's loud... extremely loud. But I always want it louder. I was thinking about giving them ~1700-1800 watts each up from ~1200 now. What do you think? Would there be a noticeable difference if I went with a bigger amp.

you won't even be doubling power... while there will probably be a differance, I doubt it will be anything too drastic...

I thought about that. I really like the sound at 32 though, so I don't think I want to change that. I was just wondering if it would even be worthwhile upgrading the power by another 1k watts or so. It's plenty loud,but do they have more potential in the same box with more power, or is this as loud as they're going to get?

As you add power, you're going to be running into power compression...not going to gain as much as you go up.

get another viper 2500 run each each sub at one ohm.....i know its rated at 2 ohms but after impedence rise you should be ok.

Yeah, that's what I figured. But at what point would that happen? I know the box is a little on the small side, so they COULD take a lot more power. Is power compression really going to kick in at 1200 watts?

You have a 2500 viper on those subs and you want it louder? Man you must be 1 def dude! That or something is wrong with your setup. That setup should be ungodly loud with the that box and all that deadening. Just my .02 cents.
