So my amp just became half as efficient (MRP-500)

Well it all started when it started getting really hot outside, if it was 100+ my amp would take about a minute to actually make the sub hit yet the alpine blue light was on

about a month later the sub just stopped hitting I immediately thought I had just blew the sub so I go check and the sub is not blown, i crank the gain all the way up and the sub hits fine again... I have never had this happen to me before any idea's/suggestions?

THe amp is probably overheating.

Post pic of amp in location in car and gf nudes.

You may have to get a fan to blow across the amp.

Is your sub dual voice coil? If so then you might have lost one and losing one coil will definitely make it quieter.

i was thinking this also...have the load half the power...if lucky a wire came loose on one side or a sub from all the bass
