I got up nice and early to go to Home Depot (you can thank them for the pretty badly measured cuts I asked them to do...) and grab some 3/4" MDF, Gorilla Glue, Caulking, Screws, and moulding for the corners (didnt want to cut 45's)... so anywho, on to the show.
Took this bad boy out, had a fairly large air leakage issue around the sub since I did a hackjob cutting the circle out.
A bit of sawdust in the air, always a good sign...
Getting started on the box, the box under it being used as my table is called the "Presidential Box" since it plays that song so well, its pretty mean, houses two Mojo 15's most of the time...
Got the top and bottom on, just doing a test fit...
From the inside...
Seats up, looks good...
Gotta love the 2500d (will have two when its said and done, I have it in my garage waiting to go in)
And finally the bread and butter pic, its a test fit so I can trace out the layout and have a better idea of where things are going to go, and no the subs and ports will not be inverted, not a good idea when the hatch is that close!
And since this is only a test I threw some trusty duct tape back around the sub surround and put it back in until I'm completely done. To my astonishment it sounds so much better and its quite a bit louder now that the leaks are fixed. Nearly no air passes by now, I may throw a second layer on top to see if that makes it better.
