after scoring a 126 on the hypoglycemia test....i decided to change my diet up. only allowed 1 can of pepsi per day, down from like 10 pops a day. Also, cut out all potato chips, dorito's, cookies, candy, kool-aid, caffiene, fried foods, cake, and most red meat.

So basically my new diet consists of all fruits, lots of veggies, baked/grilled chicken and fish, whole grain breads and cereals, lots of water (can use pure lemon or lime juice for flavor) lots of green tea, Dairy products in limited quantities, steamed rice and pastas, oatmeal etc.

Been doing this for like 2-3 days and overall i feel so much better, not bogged down by my meals. Energy levels are way up, moods are better so far, and honestly...i've lost 4 pounds in just like 60 hours. My goal is drop my cholesterol levels, which are at a dangerous 260, down to 140ish in the next 6 months. Also want to drop about 50 lbs..back to weight i was when i got out of the military (200lbs) Also, i'll be heading down and scooping a family membership at the Y so i can workout 5-6 days a week.

On a side note....i just cut up a whole fresh pineapple and me and my son ate the hell out it...tastes much better fresh then it does out of the can. If anyone is interested in dieting and losing some weight, hit me up and i plan on keeping a log of my progress.

I know I shouldn't drink any at all, but I can't help but enjoy a Cherry Coke Zero from time to time.

right on man, keep following through. I just started something similar about a month ago, almost the same exact diet just more of it. Trying to gain weight, just muscle and not fat.

I was drinking close to a 6pack of mt. dew a day. Wayyyyyy too much sugar and caffiene. I dropped it cold turkey...had some massive headaches but much better now.

After having a membership at the gym for about 6 months and only going a few times I started back up about a month ago...I'm still hella outta shape, but it makes a huge difference in how you feel.

beer and pizza does wonders
edit id like to hear how it goes because im that fat skinny kid - haha
Thats exactly why I'm doing the diet and excercising. I thought I was the only fat skinny kid out there. Basically draw a stick figure and put a beer gut on it and thats about what I look like.

If it didn't get delivered to me, come through a drive up window, or say jack daniels on the side I pretty much didn't try it :/

Get a job driving for Fedex or UPS... it keeps you moving 12-14 hours a day at a panic pace half the time and makes you too busy to even think about stopping and eating... it is working wonders for me...

But I don't even care... I'm a big stalky stalky kid... I look proportionate and at about the right weight between 250-290lbs... I'm a scarecrow at 215...

Amen. Working in fast food 40 hrs. a week and going to school at night doesnt leave much time for workouts. Being a fat skinny kid FTL
