They can sound good with the right options etc. But i would hardly consider them to sound great musically...

probably not if the rest of the system didnt also sound good musicly......its not just about the sub when your talking great sound it is a combination of lots of things....the sub is only part of it and PROMISE i can take your favorite sub and make it sound like shit. Sometimes all you have to do is turn the box 180 degrees and that can make or break how good the subs sound. To many factors. I have dealt with Image Dynamics as well. I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying do a great install with the BTL and one on the same level with the Q or Mag and i'm sure as far as listening pleasure most people with an ear are going to choose the Q or Mag. Does that mean the BTL sounds horrible, bad, or muddy? Absolutely not.
