So I just got a hold of some older Mojos....

and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. After two trades, I ended up getting a JL 10w7 and 2 Memphis Mojo 15s for $275... I'm contemplating if I want to keep them or not but oh well... When I received them they worked but they were in horrible condition... They still worked though!. Here's pics:







Coil is dusty...



IDK WTF they were thinking when they wired this...



The screws were broken into the box and also stuck in the outer rubber part of the sub... I had to force them out.



In this picture there is a leaf, balloon, and bits of wood inside the box... Mind you this was a sealed box!



Well those are some of the pics... Just out of curiosity how much are they worth? I'm assuming they are 1000rms like the newer ones or am I wrong?

Just dust that stuff off and grab a can of compressed air. They will be fine.

they look pretty solid still, the surrounds dont look too beat up in the pictures any way, they are just dirty, very very dirty

clean um up and run um is what i would do.

yea, it takes a lot to surprise me any more, but thats a new one. the big problem with that though is that the pole vents are open on those subs, so if the motors can be taken off with out screwing anything up it would probably be a good idea to do so and clean everything out of there

sence there was all the shhh!t in the box i would unbole the motor from the basket blow the gap out and reassemble. you do know they come apart with the 3 bolts thru the motor?

I did not know that... Actually I do not know anything about that lol... Anyone have a step by step? This seems to be a good learning experience for me at this point.

The other one only had one wire running from the positive terminal... :\

Which means they were only running 1 coil...I don't know exactly how that will harm the sub, I just remember reading in one of JL's sub manuals that doing so immediately voids the warranty of the woofer.

take out 3 screws at the bottom plate of motor it will remove basket. clean gap. screw in 3 bolts that easy...

there is a difference between m3's and mojo's. those are the m3's I believe, they are 500rms but are known to handle a little more

Are you sure they are the M3s? From what I've been told they are the older Mojo 15s. I looked up pictures and specs for both of them and they look the same... How can you tell the difference?
