So I found a jl 1000/1.....

....in the trunk of a trade in. hooked it up and the low ohm light comes on when the bass hits and the subs make a terrible noise. seem to play ok at very low volume. any idea what could be wrong with this thing. fyi its wired at 2 ohms.

I hear JL has a lot of things that can go wrong with them. If the sub makes a terrible noice its probly the sub. But I have a 6 channel off getting repaired someone told me I could never repair

the subs sound fine on the amp that's normally in there.

I would send the amp to get looked at. I highly reccomend Sound Xtreme in Antioch TN. They wont charge you to take a look at it.
