and im afraid If I order some comps I will be too dumb too figure out how too configure the crossover.

will it have a huge drawback if I just buy coaxial 5.25 speakers and run them off my amp instead of comp's?

how hard is it too tune the crossover that comes with the comps?

depending on what type of comps you buy theres really no tuning the CO. just a lot of wiring. Some have jumpers in them so you can change your freq a little but all you have to do with that is open it up and relocate the jumper. If they have a freq setting then just read the manual and tune to your liking after you have tuned your deck, then amp.

You gotta break some eggs if you want to get sht done

Most of the time the crossover for components is a fixed frequency. All you do is hook the wires up and go.

corssovers are cake. get the comps, you will not regret it. theres an input, wf and tw output typically. pretty self explanatory. just take yout time run the wires neatly and mount the crossover nicely. you will be fine. jsut remember to do this right a pro with the right tools and shop still take an hr or so per pair to do this. dont rush and giveyour self enough time and you will be fine. also make sure you wire everything in phase or you will get different sound from the tweets and driver.
