Finally made the next step on my audio project. My 880prs and ipod adapter arrived today (bought off of eca.com). i just installed the 880 and i must say, there's a huge sound difference between the 860mp and the 880prs. it doesn't seem as "loud" as my 860 was, but maybe it's cuz there's less distortion on the new deck? and i changed the preset eq. also, you can REALLY tell my front passenger speaker is missing (speaker didn't sound right and sounded like something metallic hitting so i took it out last year). the display seems kinda hard to read during the daytime also. but i was just messing around with it for like 5 minutes. i like the battery voltage display as well. say i was at 12.4, started my car, said i was at 14.4, then turned it off and say 12.7. idk how accurate it is tho, but still neat. i think i'm gonna love this deck. gonna take care of the auto t/a tomorrow or monday, as well as installing the pioneer adapter (IB100II) for my 60gb ipod video. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif i would hook up my 13w7 and see if my 20.1 works or not, but i was gonna run 1/0 last weekend but couldn't find any god damm drill bits //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

also about to get a 2 channel amp in a trade, and then i just gotta glass some kicks, run the 1/0, hook up kx300.2, buy my other 12" mag, build a box and i'm set, big 3, and i'm set. pics will come at a later date.

a little update:

i just got back from hooking it up and using the auto eq/ta.

the auto ta/eq made a WORLD of difference rather than just using the preset eq's.

also, using this ipod interface i can tell NO AUDIBLE DIFFERENCE between cd's and the ipod itself. also, you gotta scroll using the headunit's other knob. it is pretty close to ipod speed. if you try scrolling too fast tho, you'll have to wait a couple seconds for it to load the screen. but it works beautifully, flawlessly, and sounds just as clean as the cd's they were ripped from. the 880prs is just cleaner than the 860mp all around AND has the ability to turn off the internal amp as i have found out. i think it's worth it to buy the IB100II adapter. works wonderfully.
