Before yall start blasting me, i have ran a search but..... not gettin exactly what i'm looking for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

I'm def gettin an XXX, for sure. 12 or 15? still unsure! I have a 325ci 2001, limited on trunk space.

Was at first thinking of a spare tire enclosure.

For the past week I was thinking i'll get a 15" and that would allow me either

-Sealed in spare OR

-Ported at 30Hz in a box 30 x 24 x 16 (i had given up trying to save space) OR

-Sealed in box OR

BUT if i go with the 12s i have these choices //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

- 2 sealed in spare OR

- 1 ported in spare

- 2 OR 1 ported at 30Hz in 1 box

- 2 OR 1 sealed in 2 boxes AND still save space

Will be a daily driver

Music mainly HipHop/Rap/Reggae

Will be using 36.1

SQ over SPL, but like 10/9 ratio

WHAT would U do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/idea.gif.5acb6a39a9b92425414c316dda202bad.gif

What would be the comparison between 12" ported in spare compared to a 15" sealed in spare?

Just trying to eliminate the hassle of trying to experiment with the diff sizes. If it was just one size i'd have no problem with experimenting.

In the tirewell limits you to a pretty small box. You arent going to get very loud with it but it will have some great quality.

I say get a 12 in a ported enclosure. Thats all you are going to need and it will still sound great...

I'm doing a custom ported enclosure for a 2000 328i... mabey you would like to see how mine turns out? I'm porting through the woofer holes in the rear deck, facing the sub up at the deck, and using from 14" (out) at the top straight down for the box. That still leaves room for a gym bag or two, and I'm trying to figure a way to make the spare tire removable. I'm going to massage the amp under the box, but it is going to be a squeeze. I'm going for 2.5-3 cubic feet, ported to I think 31-33 hz. She wants plenty of boom, with good low bass extension. She is replacing two audiobahn AW120Q subs, so hopefully the loss in cone area of two subs will be made up for by the displacement and efficiency of the resonant engineering XXXs.

I'll let you know how it turns out, it's going in next weekend.
