Why does a tattoo have to have a "REAL" meaning to someone for it to not be gay? I have both sleeves, my back, ribs and right leg and chest. The words that I have on me have meaning but the other stuff is what I drew up and thought looked cool. Who are you to be a judge of whether or not someones tats are acceptable or not? I like my tats, my wife likes my tats, and your mom likes my tats; so eff you.
Oh yeah, some people have horrible tats. Tattoos are the one thing in life that I will overpay for. I got most of mine while in Japan by one of the masters there. My right leg was done by Horiyoshi in traditional style with the bamboo and doing it by hand.not all are, but most.
I'm with you. Not all of mine have a deep meaning to them. I've been a fan since I was a kid and love all the different styles and variations of the art. My left arm is a full Asian them with coy Asian dragons and flowers , my tight sleeve is all heavy lined American traditional with a few new school influences to it. I'm working on my first photo realism piece which will be black and grey st Christopher up my side from my hip bone to my armpit

We have some of the same tats apparently. My left arm is traditional Japanese and my right arm is traditional American with new school bold coloring if that makes sense. My right leg is traditional Japanese as well and my back and ribs is new school American. I can't wait to get back to the states and finish up my shirt. Other than my hands, neck and face I'll be nearly completely covered in the next couple of years. Its an addiction for sure.
