Smooth sounding 8...

I am simply adding an 8 inch sub to my stock bose system. (amplified of course)

I am looking for that extra something I am missing. I do not want to overpower everything else I have and am just looking for some extra low end and a little punch.

What is the best brand for that? I know brands are soooo much opinion but I need some help here, I have been out of the game for a while. The last sub I had was a SI Mag and before that was a ID MAX, but that was a whole other system alltogether.

I am considering a RE8 but am sort of afraid it is just loud and would not make a great fit. Does anyone have any ideas?

I know its expensive and mainstream, but 8w7s sound nice.

the 8w7 is a great woofer.

though the soundsplinter has earned itself quite the positive rep on hear in no time at all.

both are really good choices. never heard an ID sub yet, should really get around to that.
